The RealGeeks product suite offers a full suite of features for individual Real Estate Agents or small Real Estate brokerages. The multi-pronged approach includes a CRM for managing leads and a work pipeline, as well as a customizable personal website with Zillow-like searchable listings that leads can save and engage agents on.
Despite the websites having gorgeous, contemporary lead-facing designs, agents complained regularly about the difficulty of using the legacy website editor to make adjustments to their sites. Additonally, some customers utilized our designated third-party service for further specific tailoring of their site- but the service was set to retire EOY.
It was clear there was a strong need for RG Web Editor 2.0.
Collaborating closely with the Director of Product and CTO, I led research, design, and testing efforts on the RealGeeks Website Editor 2.0. I established rotating bi-weekly focus groups with Agents, varying the length of time they’d been using the RealGeeks platform.
After compiling a detailed list of the existing rich features in the legacy web editor, I led card sorting exercises and design workshops with agents, product team members and developers. We determined the biggest need was for a “live preview” - and a sidebar editor - so agents could truly make use of the incredible customization features on offer.
Customers who had previously been paying our designated third-party service to custom-develop parts of their site could cut those unneccessary expenses and continue to use their sites despite the third-party retirement.
The newly designed web editor was warmly received and made way for even more design templates to be easily implemented and utilized. In surveys sent via email and conducted via phone, agents rated the new web editor on average an 8.5/10, saying it revolutionized their personal website and successfully drew in more leads than before they used it. Using the new Web Editor, they put forth gorgeous, contemporary sites that directly competed with Zillow/Redfin/etc.
